The government of Sindh on Saturday announced to include khwaja sira persons in the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
The decision was announced by the programme’s chairperson, Shazia Marri on the BISP’s official twitter handle.
Elaborating on the registration process, Ms. Marri said it requires one to register with the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) as a transgender person.
The next step is to register with the relevant tehsil office, she added.
Concluding, BISP chairperson said eligible candidates may receive Rs7,000 on a quarterly basis, information of which can be received via an SMS to 8171.
