Shoaib Akhtar Accuses Fawad Chaudhry Of Attempting Legal Action Against His On-Air Resignation From PTV
Former Pakistan fast bowler and cricket legend Shoaib Akhtar has accused former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry of making legal cases against him, after he resigned from Pakistan Television (PTV) on-air in October 2021.

After a tense exchange with Dr. Nauman Niaz, the host of PTV's sports show 'Game On Hai', on October 27, 2021, Akhtar announced his resignation on live TV, prompting netizens and the general public to castigate Dr. Niaz for his haughty manner and unbecoming behaviour with a national sports superstar.

While Fawad Chaudhry later claimed responsibility for getting Dr. Nauman Niaz to apologize, and both Akhtar and Dr. Niaz to 'bury the hatchet', this explosive revelation by the 'Rawalpindi Express' further exposes the duplicity of PTI in terms of its public persona and its inner workings when it was in government.

Speaking to a television channel, Shoaib Akhtar nonchalantly referred to former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, saying that "we had straightened him out".

"He was trying to make a case against me," Akhtar said, adding "today he himself is running to the courts, falling and getting up. He wanted to make a case against me, imagine that".

"Who are you by the way? Nobody," Shoaib Akhtar said to the hosts as if he were addressing Fawad Chaudhry. Akhtar continued, "we are national stars, we'll remain forever".

"This is what that doctor also forgot on TV, he (Fawad) also forgot that, now look at them, they are falling in the courts".

When prompted by the anchor, Shoaib Akhtar explained that Fawad wanted to accuse him for causing losses to PTV. "They were trying to dirty my name... An injustice was done to me, and the case was also being made against me. Imagine!" the cricket superstar said.
