The United Kingdom's general election takes place on July 4, and the immigration issue kept on coming up during the debate. Over a decade of Conservative Party's rule has made a mess of the immigration policy, experts say. In this episode, Rabia Mehmood asks the guest Nilmini Roelens, a solicitor and immigration law expert from the United Kingdom, about why the immigration policy so critical, and if there is a possibility of improvement in the said policy if the Labour Party comes to power. In addition to the business and family immigration cases, Roelens has also extensively worked on protection cases of asylum seekers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Somalia and Eritrea, she commented on the discriminatory approach towards Afghan refugees as compared to Ukrainians in the UK.
