PM Shehbaz Breaks Silence On Imran-Bajwa Spat
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday rained down on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, saying he "wasted army's efforts" despite being brought into power with "full force".

The premier, however, said that he had nothing to do with the former COAS Bajwa helping out the PTI chief [during the 2018 polls and afterwards].

The PML-N leader made the remarks during a ceremony of the Hazara Electric Supply Company today (Jan 6).

According to him, how the ex-military chief helped the former premier is all 'out in the open' by now.

"Unfortunate Imran proved to be the worst prime minister despite receiving full support for four whole years," he remarked.

"Instead of being thankful to those who brought him to power, he is now targeting them with heinous allegations," he maintained.

Shehbaz also took the PTI chief to task for 'destroying' the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and 'angering' China.

"You'll be shaken to your core if you find out about how this man angered friendly countries," he added.

Taking a jibe at the former PM, he said no one could defeat Imran in the use of abusive language, adding that the PTI chairman had 'ruined' the Pakistani society.

On Jan 3, PTI chairman said Gen (retd) Bajwa was an "altogether different man" after getting an extension to his term.

He had also reiterated making a 'mistake' by granting the ex-general extension, saying the former COAS had started to talk of ‘neutrality’ afterwards.

Imran had quoted the former general as saying during his last meeting with him, “We have your files, we have your audios and videos, we know you have been a playboy.”

“I replied that I never claimed to be an angel, I had been a playboy but Allah Almighty has given me an opportunity to repent over my sins.”

He had also said that Gen (retd) Bajwa, 'being a har fan mola' (jack of all trades), told him to put accountability aside and focus on the economy instead.
