PM Shehbaz Offers India To Take Benefit From CPEC Project
The arch-rival India has been encouraged by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to profit from the massive infrastructure project known as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) rather than placing obstacles in its path.

This was said by the prime minister in a statement on Wednesday to commemorate CPEC's ten-year anniversary.

He emphasized the importance of the initiative by saying that Iran, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and the entire region will benefit from it.

The PM Office release reported him as stating, "CPEC is a beautiful plan to connect not only regions and areas but also people's hearts."

PM Shehbaz promised to double the rate of growth. In addition to enhancing air, train, sea, and road links, it would also benefit sectors like health, education, and skill development, as well as the involvement of the general populace.

The prime minister described CPEC as a game changer for the whole area and claimed it would raise people's living conditions.

The prime minister thanked the leaders and people of Pakistan and China for the successful completion of CPEC after ten years, describing it as a new chapter in the long-standing and dependable strategic cooperation partnership between the two "iron brothers".

He said that the initiative was an outstanding illustration of the "development for all" vision espoused by PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and the great Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

"China's President Xi's vision of peace, friendship, and economic cooperation is manifested in the Belt and Road initiative."

He lamented that obstacles were put in the way of the project during the four years of the previous administration, in addition to making unfounded accusations against a valuable ally like China.

He said, "The opponents of CPEC are against peace, progress, and prosperity in Pakistan and the region because they do not want to end poverty in the country.

According to him, the CPEC strengthened Pakistan and China's bilateral ties and ushered in a new era of reciprocal collaboration.

According to PM Shehbaz, CPEC includes several initiatives, including those related to the supply of water, education, and technical and skilled-based training.

Nine Special Economic Zones (SEZs) will be built, and the transfer of new technology to Pakistan will eventually boost domestic manufacturing, he said.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the early warning system for natural disasters, both of which are components of CPEC, were also mentioned by the prime minister as effects of the project on their efficacy.

He said that in order to secure food security, initiatives connected to agriculture have also been included in CPEC.
