In an act of vengeance a man injured his ex wife and murdered a three year old girl
In the Raiwind area of Lahore, a man named Shahid, with other collaborators, attacked his ex-wife which resulted in the murder of three year old girl Ayesha and injured Mumtaz Bibi and her husband Nadeem. According to the sources, Shahid was aggrieved by the second marriage of his ex-wife and wanted to take revenge. The police had filed FIR at the application of Nadeem and had started the investigation.
Girl raped under false promise of employment
In the Raiwind area of Lahore, a girl was raped by a man named Faheem Miyo. According to the sources, Faheem called the victim to give her a job but instead he took to the girl to the nearby fields and raped her. The victim has given an application to police to register the FIR.
Front-man of drug contractor in Mayo Hospital finally suspended
In Mayo Hospital in Lahore, Sawar Hussain was a front-man of a drug contractor Rana Shahid. Sawar Hussain has now been suspended by the hospital administration. According to the health department, Sawar Hussain was tried under the PEDA act and was found guilty in 22 cases. Earlier, he was tried by the hospital administration under the supervision of the medical superintendent Dr. Iftikhar but the drug contractor Rana Shahid convinced Dr. Iftikhar to acquit Sawar Hussain. However, under the law Dr. Iftikhar was not eligible to investigate Sawar Hussain who was 16 grade officers. This time Sawar Hussain was convicted and consequently, suspended by the administration.
There is a need to make legislations to check the social media, Imam of Kaaba
In his Friday Sermon, the Imam of Kaaba Sheikh Abdul Rehman al-Sudais has said in his Friday sermon that the steps must be taken to make legislations for the accountability of the social media. While addressing to the famous celebrities of the social media, he advised them to avoid the sinful acts. He also stressed them to work for the welfare of their nation and country instead of doing unnecessary things on the social media. He said, now days, people are using strange means to gain popularity on the social media.
Dr. Asghar Zaidi given an additional charge of VC Punjab University Lahore
The Vice Chancellor of Government College, University of Lahore Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi has been given an additional charge of the Vice Chancellor of Punjab University for a three month period. The Higher Education Commission issued a notification in this regard.
