Shoemaker’s Handicapped Son Clinches Top Position In Punjab Matriculation Exams

In Punjab's annual matriculation examination administered by the Special Education Board, Nauman Bashir, a handicapped student at the Government Special School in Hafizabad, acquired the top spot.

In the Government Special Education School in Hafizabad for the past eight years, Nauman Basheer has been a student with a limb handicap.

Saima Saeed, the provincial secretary for special education in Punjab, and a representative of UNICEF presented Nauman Bashir and his teacher Asma Batul with honorary certificates and medals after learning that Nauman Bashir had earned 758 marks out of 1100 in the annual matriculation exam, earning him the top spot in the province.

While talking to journalists, Nauman Bashir said that he makes shoes with his father after school to help pay for his education.
