Nawaz Sharif Needs Regular Checkups On Heart Condition: UK Hospital's Report

Deposed prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif is still not fully fit and constantly requires regular follow-up checkups.

Consultant Cardiologist Professor Carlo Di Mario at the Royal Brompton Hospital, had authored the report which was submitted to the Lahore High Court on Friday.

The report stated that Nawaz Sharif had undergone a heart bypass and angioplasty. First, he was treated for anti-anginal therapy. Then, due to angina and novel coronavirus (Covid), he was advised not to travel to Pakistan.

It added that when his symptoms worsened, another angioplasty was conducted in November 2022, and stents were inserted in her veins.

Nawaz Sharif had left for London because of his health four years ago on November 19, 2019. In 2019, he was diagnosed with an immune system disorder.

He had travelled to London via an air ambulance with his physician, Dr Adnan Khan.
