Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications Dr. Umar Saif has disclosed that the CEO of the Scandinavian cell phone giant Nokia is scheduled to visit Pakistan shortly.
He shared the news during a meeting with Wille Eerola, Honorary Consul General of Pakistan in Finland and Chairman of the Finland-Pakistan Business Council.
While speaking to the envoy, Saif highlighted Pakistan's substantial information technology (IT) export potential to Finland.
The minister mentioned that Pakistan is already producing Nokia 4G smartphones and stated that 5G and 6G technologies would be discussed during the visit of the Nokia CEO.
It is important to note that the federal minister for IT previously indicated the government's intention to introduce 5G technology across the country in just 10 months.
