At least four people were killed and three more were injured in a shooting on a passenger bus and a car in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Kurram District on Sunday.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Imran, four people were killed when gunmen opened fire on a bus and a vehicle in the Sadda neighborhood.

According to DPO Muhammad Imran, the deceased included two security personnel, a driver, and a woman. The police have initiated a manhunt to apprehend the assailants, while security has been increased in the area, he added.

"The armed attackers targeted two vehicles going from Parachinar to Peshawar," the DPO stated.

Six barbers were abducted and murdered last week, and their bodies were dumped in a field in Mir Ali Tehsil, North Waziristan region.

According to local and government official sources, the bullet-riddled bodies of six men were found in a field in Muski hamlet, which is located in Mir Ali. According to them, the first investigation showed that the victims were shot dead after being kidnapped.

According to the sources, the killed people were all barbers who were non-locals who had recently relocated to North Waziristan. They owned barbershops in Mir Ali Bazaar.

The year 2023 saw an alarming increase in terror-related incidents across the country and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular, with 419 terrorist attacks killing 620 people, including 306 security forces personnel, 222 civilians, and 92 militants.
