Stunning Lanka Win Leaves India On Verge Of Asia Cup Elimination
Sri Lanka beat India by six wickets in a thrilling Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

With the loss, India are on the verge of being eliminated from the Asia Cup.

Chasing the 174-run target, Sri Lankan openers took a good start as Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis added 97 runs for the first wicket in 11 overs.

India hit back with a flurry of wickets but Bhanuka Rajapaksa and captain Dasun Shanaka unbroken 64-run partnership steered their side to a win with six wickets to spare.

In the first innings, India posted 173 runs with the loss of eight wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 72 of 41 balls while Suryakumar Yadav contributed 34 of 29.

Arch-rivals Pakistan had earlier defeated India by five wickets on Sunday.
