The Sindh government denied dissolving the provincial assembly on August 9 by opposing the federal government’s announcement.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also informed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about the decision.
It is pertinent to mention here that PM Shehbaz announced that assemblies would be dissolved on August 9.
The Sindh Assembly Secretary has also issued a notification in which it is stated that the provincial assembly will remain intact until August and that the farewell ceremony will also be held on that day.
The Sindh Assembly will dissolve between August 11 and 13.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had informed his coalition partners that the summary to dissolve the National Assembly would be moved on August 9.
During a luncheon he gave for his coalition partners, the premier provided the guarantee while discussing the political environment of the country and the upcoming general elections.
According to officials who attended the meeting and requested anonymity, the prime minister informed his coalition partners that he would start talking to Raja Riaz, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, about a caretaker prime minister starting today (Friday). The premier continued by expressing his optimism that the consultation will come to a close in two to three days.
