Actress Sofia Mirza was booked for allegedly defrauding a man of Rs1.5 million over a wedding dance, on on Saturday.
Sukkur police booked the model, her sister Maryam Mirza, and manager Maira Khurram on the complaint of a local resident, Sanaullah Mahesar.
According to the FIR, the complainant had booked the duo earlier after watching their performance at an event.
It further stated that the sisters agreed to the dance against a sum of Rs1.5 milion and took Rs1 million in advance.
But, Mahesar said, they didn't show up on the night of the wedding and are not responding to his phone calls.
The FIR furthered that on Nov 27, 2022, half a dozen armed people came to him and threatened him of dire consequences if he asked for the money again.
On the other hand, manager Maira denies that they refused to repay the amount or sent threats to the complainant.
She claimed that the performers were unable to reach the venue on the said day as they were unwell.
Meanwhile, Sukkur police has sought IG police's permission, after which a team including two female constables will head to Punjab to take Mirza into custody.
