At least 50 people have been killed in a blast targeting worshippers during Friday prayers inside a Shia mosque in Afghanistan's northern Kunduz province. Eyewitnesses have been quoted as saying by international media outlets that several people have been injured in the attack.
According to reports, the bast took place during Friday prayers. Several injured were taken to the hospital, as per eye witnesses.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid confirmed the incident saying that an unknown number of people have been killed. He said that the blast targeted 'our Shia compatriots'.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. However, Islamic State has been behind incidents of the similar nature in Afghanistan.
This is the bloodiest terror attack since US forces' exit from Afghanistan.
