Gender equality occurs when people of all genders have equal rights, but in our society, we see inequality for women, transgender people, and also for men. This type of inequality between genders affects families and relationships and produces a meaningless culture in society. Equality between genders doesn’t mean that men, women, or transgender people have equal resources; it means equal rights for all genders.
If I talk about inequality between genders in our society, the most affected are women and transgender people. Our society still thinks women should stay indoors. They have no right to get a higher education. Only their education is limited to FSC, metric, and BS. It is not considered for girls to get higher education, like a Ph.D. or doctorate level, before marriage. It is a concept about girls that they just have to manage their homes after marriage. If a girl gets divorced in our society, it is very difficult for her to get married again, but the norms are entirely different for men. They can get married again without being labeled and criticized by society.
In our society, for a divorced man, most mothers seek an unmarried, educated, and job-doing girl, no matter if her son is jobless, uneducated, unsettled, or divorced. This type of inequality in our society between males and females is very common, but it is certainly not a good concept. There is a need to terminate this type of stereotype and give equal rights to all genders.
Mental health is a major issue in our society. When women get pregnant, they experience complications and limited access to care. Good mental health is very important for making good decisions, having confidence, and giving birth to a healthy child.
Mothers place more emphasis on their daughters' training than on their sons' training. Crimes like rape and molestation can be curbed if mothers focus on the upbringing of their sons.
It is really hard to understand why a woman is blamed for giving birth to a baby girl. What kind of stupidity is this?
As per statistics and media reports, transgender people are the most vulnerable and marginalized segment of society.
Equality for all genders will bring prosperity to society and build a better future. Moreover, the flourishing of a society increases when women and girls can contribute on the same level as men and boys by sharing their resources and knowledge. Women are important drivers of development, and they can play a vital role in reducing poverty. Therefore, it is a humble request to all parents: please give equal opportunity to education to girls so that they can realize their potential and play their part in the upliftment of their families.
