In an exclusive interview with ELLE magazine, Elizabeth revealed that while the marriage had been breaking before covid, it was Armie's behaviour during lockdown that was the final straw which she described as 'the worst.'
She also said she was learning about ex-husband Armie Hammer’s sexual abuse allegations and fetishes “as the public was,” and it left her speechless.
The couple were on holiday with their children Harper and Ford in the US when they decided to stay and quarantine in the Cayman Islands with Armie's father and stepmother.
But Elizabeth was shocked when her husband decided to return to California, where he helped a friend restore an old motel outside Joshua Tree National Park.
'My heart was broken in nine million pieces, and I still drove him to the airport,' she confessed.
