Last night, the no-trust motion against Imran Khan succeeded, leading to his ouster as the leader of the House and the country’s PM. Acting speaker Ayaz Sadiq announced that 174 members voted in favour of the no-confidence motion. The voting began after 12 AM as the then government had tried its best to delay the proceedings of the session through lengthy speeches.

The session of the National Assembly was presided over by Pakistan Muslim League – N (PML-N) leader Ayaz Sadiq when erstwhile speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser announced his resignation after expressing his refusal to hold voting on the no-trust motion.
