Residents in Karachi are bracing for hot and dry weather today, with the Meteorological Department expecting a high temperature of 37 degrees Celsius.
Despite the sweltering heat, the city also has a partially overcast sky, which provides some respite from the harsh sunshine.
According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi's humidity ratio is 65%. The Met Department has also forecasted that the hot and humid conditions will last for the next 24 hours, indicating that there will be no quick reprieve from the uncomfortable weather.
In an unexpected development, the Met Department has also released a forecast for drizzle beginning June 15. This projection has aroused expectations among Karachi residents for a brief break from the blistering heat, accompanied by humid weather.
Meanwhile, the Met Office predicts very hot weather in the country's central and southern areas today, with thunderstorms and light showers in Gilgit-Baltistan in the evening.
According to the department, the weather in Islamabad and the surrounding areas will likely continue to be hot and dry, with rain possible in Chitral, Kohistan, and Battagram. The weather will be exceedingly hot in southern regions like Multan and Rahim Yar Khan.
