On international women’s day this year Multan Matters is proud to announce their sister brand Women Matters that is developed with the core values and foundations of Women empowerment. Multan Matters is a female run organisation with the aim to build a community by joining hands. This women’s day Women Matters is our core focus, with the aim to build on it and enhance it into the future. We have a self defence workshop for women to learn skills on protecting themselves.
The aim this time it to facilitate women of all ages who are either entrepreneurs or striving entrepreneurs with a workshop on social media marketing enhancing financial independence and personal growth. Women matters aims to be the change, a place for women to heard, a place for women to grow and a foundation for a change that is our way.
"Every year on women’s day I wanted to do more than just celebrate, have an exhibition, cut cake and attend seminars. I would see awards being given to woman of substance across Pakistan and thought why can’t all these MNCs and organisations identify and acknowledge woman of substance from Multan or South Punjab? Yesterday my friend Saima my co admin who does her flagship women’s day Event at Ramada every year gave Multan Matters the opportunity to award not only the woman of substance but also the incredible unsung heroes of the region. We were honoured to have the acting counsel general of US Consulate General Lahore Kathleen Gabilisco to be with us as guest of honour.

We are Grateful to Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital to have arranged a session on women health issues. We also organised a clay art work session which acts as therapy to reduce negative mood and anxiety and along with it was an exhibition arranged by Ramada with high tea and live qawali performance. I hope the women of Multan enjoyed as much as we enjoyed planning it and we understand there is room of improvement and we promise to do better InshAllah," said Filza Mumtaz, founder of Multan Matters and CEO of the craft based organisation Shah's Embroideries.
