Malala Yousafzai's husband Asser Malik thanked the couple's well-wishers for congratulating them on tying the knot. He took to Twitter to post a picture of them cutting a cake after their wedding.
"In following our cricket team's tradition, we had to do a victory cake cutting," he wrote.

Asser Malik who is affiliated with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is an avid cricket fan. He is also the co-founder of LMS Pakistan. Asser was born in Lahore and studied at Aitchison and late LUMS.
Earlier on Tuesday, Malala Yousafzai announced that she had tied the knot at a 'small nikkah ceremony' at her home in Birmingham. Celebrities, politicians and public figures wished the couple well for their journey ahead.
