A child was also injured in the attack. Armed men riding a motorcycle attacked the van in Swat's Charbagh area. A police team has reached the spot and a search is underway. Rescue 1122 said the injured had been taken to a hospital.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has distanced itself from the attack in a statement. Condemning the incident, the TTP said its "targets" were clear before the nation. The TTP said the "enemy" may term the incident an example of "lawlessness" in a bid to quench its thirst for blood.
