Following the release of his most recent film, Jawan, Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan reportedly complained to the Indian authorities about receiving death threats.
According to news agency ANI, the Maharashtra government has ordered the police to increase the actor’s security to the Y+ category after they claimed that Shahrukh sent them a written complaint dated October 5.
According to reports, the Bollywood king informed the authorities that the number of death threats rose following the release of ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathan’ last year.
The Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) reportedly gave orders to all police commissioners, district police, and special protection units (SPUs) to immediately offer "Y+ with an escort scale of security," according to Indian Express.
Eleven security personnel, six commandos, four police officers, and a traffic control vehicle make up the Y+ category. Police officers have also been posted at Mannat, his house in Mumbai.
Earlier this year, two men broke into Mannat’s premises by breaking through the outer wall and were later detained by the security guards.
