Pivotal Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders have told Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif that influential Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have rendered the Punjab CM ineffectual.
According to a report aired by Samaa TV on Saturday, the PML-Q leaders told Nawaz, who is residing in London, Punjab CM Pervaiz Elahi was not being allowed to perform. They said they made a mistake by not listening to party's former president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who had asked them to side with PML-N candidate Hamza Shahbaz during the Punjab chief minister's election in July.
The Supreme Court had declared Elahi as the duly elected chief minister of the province for securing 186 votes against the 179 of Hamza in the July 22 run-off poll for the coveted office of the province.
