Actress Armeena Khan Confronts PMLN Over Online Harassment
The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz and actor Armeena Khan were involved in a recent social media incident that has generated debate. Shayan Ali, a young PTI activist living in London, posted a video of a woman making fun of Maryam Nawaz while feigning to snap a picture on his Twitter account.

The girl asks that Maryam Nawaz steal her family after snapping the image. Maryam Nawaz appeared to smile and disregard the behavior, but the episode has sparked outrage and criticism from a number of sources.

The Bin Roye actress tweeted, "Had this happened in Pakistan, the selfie lady would've 'disappeared,'" in response to the incident. I'm happy that we can hold our politicians accountable in the UK because of the freedom we enjoy. It is our policy if you choose to reside on British land. Speaking freely is a right.

In a bizarre turn of events, PML-N's official Twitter account tweeted a private photo of the actress holding her infant child along with a large cross that separated the two. How will young, mentally ill people educate the next generation? The caption stated that the fifth generation youthia would be at the lowest level.

While the tweet itself received quite a bit of criticism. Armeena herself also spoke in return. The Sherdil actor claimed that Maryam Nawaz "hates babies, I guess." "The poor lady couldn't handle it with her thin skin, so she sent her official minions to harass an individual foreign citizen. I've never before seen something like that from a major political party.

The Janaan star's husband, Fesl Khan, also posted a message on his account demanding an apology. "Leadership of the PMLN, you are in charge of this account. You have gone beyond the pale of civility by posting a picture of my child solely to harass my wife. I have no interest in Pakistani politics, nor does my daughter. But I will defend my child because I am a father. Apologise right away.

Armeena eventually made the decision to take a vacation after receiving a great deal of criticism from members of the political party. It's been a long day, and I've seen a lot, she added in a warning.

"However, PPP has never attacked me from a legitimate account, I'll admit that. One of the Bhuttos was once questioned by me. They really are more educated, regardless of their ideologies, and I was impressed by the fact that she didn't flinch. But there is nothing noble about this PMLN bunch," she added.
