Appearing on Frieha Altaf's podcast Ayesha Omar spoke candidly about an abusive relationship she had with a man that she refused to name.
"I was almost married to that person... but I don't want to name or talk about it," said Omar.
"It took me so long to walk away from that relationship because I kept thinking he would get better or I could fix him," she added.
"Then one fine day, after 8 years of going back and forth, one day there was physical abuse and I was like 'no, this is not okay', I finally walked away."
Frieha Altaf then went on to talk about the different types of abuse there are identifying physical, mental and economic abuse.
