Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab has warned that the coronavirus situation in the city and across Sindh is 'not good,' as the current daily infection rate in the port city surpassed 15 per cent.
"The infection rate has reached 15.5%. Karachi, an industrial hub. There is a 9.45% ratio in seven days. People have stopped taking precautions, be it wedding ceremonies or any other occasion," the administrator stated at a press conference.
Wahab discussed the possibility of stricter measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus in the province. He reminded people to continue to wear facemasks and follow SOPs.
"If we take precautions again, the situation will not get worse. At the moment, the pressure on our hospitals is not high, but citizens should be careful not to ignore precautionary measures," he added.

More than 10,000 Covid tests have been administered in the past 24 hours of which 940 resulted in positive cases of Covid-19. Out of these 940 cases, 85 per cent were detected in Karachi (799 cases).
