The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has hired a lobbying firm based in Washington D.C, USA for a monthly fee of $25,000.
The party has taken the initiative to support the 'PTI's goals for good relations with the United States and the Pakistani diaspora'.
According to documents unearthed by South Asia Center Pakistan Initiative director Uzair Younus, the PTI's USA chapter has hired lobbying firm Fenton/Arlock LLC for $25,000 per month. The same firm was hired by the Pakistan Embassy in United States in March, 2022 for $30,000 a month.

While the lobbying firm has been hired by PTI USA, and the documents specify that PTI Pakistan is not a client. The documents also state that PTI USA may be directed by PTI Pakistan in certain cases, meaning the firm may then formulate PR strategies and actions on behalf of PTI Pakistan.
Some people objected that there was no illegality in PTI USA hiring a consulting or lobbying firm, even if PTI Pakistan would be occasionally directing PTI USA. Uzair Younus, however, maintained that while it was not illegal, it was hypocritical.
