Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor has come under fire from Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for disparaging her for her English-speaking capabilities.
On her Instagram, Kangana uploaded a story where she dropped a video of Sonam's previous appearance on Koffee With Karan.
The Zoya Factor actress was playing the rapid-fire round when Karan questioned her: "If you had the power to grant celebrities these qualities, who would you grant the gift of fluency in English to?"
Without hesitation, Sonam accepted Kangana's name right away.
The actress from Tanu Weds Manu was devastated after seeing the footage. She, therefore, made fun of Anil Kapoor's daughter.
"What I learned from years of battles with the film mafia is that no foreigner will ever be made fun of for not speaking English," she wrote. Additionally, that show has been permanently ended.
Please don't miss my final comeback. I demonstrated elegance, sophistication, articulation, and humility even at the age of 24 after being openly ridiculed, humiliated, and insulted, something English-speaking gossipy aunts with purportedly wonderful upbringings could never do, the 36-year-old actress said.
On the career front, Kangana Ranaut is getting ready to play the part of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her next movie, Emergency. According to Indian media, the movie is scheduled for release on November 24.
