NSA Moeed Yusuf Questions India's Ability To Manage Sensitive Weapons, Calls For Inquiry On Missile Launch
In the aftermath of a missile landing 124 km within Pakistani territory, National Security Advisor (NSA) Moeed Yusuf has raised questions on India’s ability to handle sensitive technology. The missile was unarmed and Indian authorities described it as an accidental fire due to a “technical malfunction.”

Taking to Twitter, the Pakistani NSA expressed alarm over the incident, emphasising that it had traveled through the path taken by international and domestic airlines, jeopardising lives in its flight path.

Earlier, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar had informed the press about a “high-speed flying object” having fallen in Mian Channu, Khanewal district. The military’s spokesperson had demanded an explanation from India.

In his tweets, NSA Moeed Yusuf depicted India’s management of such weapons systems as irresponsible, and criticised New Delhi’s failure to inform Pakistan after the accidental launch.

"In a nuclear environment, such callousness and ineptitude raises questions about the safety and security of Indian weapon systems," Yusuf noted.

He added:
"Remember, this is a state apparatus being run by a fascist ideology that has already proven its recklessness by trying to bomb Pakistan in 2019."

Yusuf also called for an investigation to determine whether the incident truly was an accidental launch or an intentional move, expressing the view that "it is hard to believe anything this Indian government says."
