ECP Kicks Off Preparations To Conduct By-Poll On 24 Seats

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has begun preparations for the impending by-elections for 24 seats in the national and provincial assemblies.

In preparation for the election, the ECP has taken many steps to guarantee a smooth and transparent voting process.

One of the most important preparations done by the election commission is the creation of a specific paper for ballot sheets. According to ECP sources, the by-election schedule will be issued soon, providing clarity and openness on the timing and procedures involved.

Furthermore, in the next by-elections, ECP personnel will act as returning officers, monitoring the electoral process and guaranteeing compliance with electoral rules and regulations.

By-elections have been scheduled to fill vacancies left by various political individuals. Among these openings is the NA-207 seat, which was formerly held by Asif Ali Zardari but was abandoned when he became president.

Similarly, Maryam Nawaz and Ali Amin Gandapur have relinquished their seats in the National Assembly after taking office as chief ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, respectively, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has left one seat empty in both the National and Punjab Assemblies.
