'Pre-planned': Audio Leak Reveals How Imran Will Get Bail At IHC
PTI chief Imran Khan will smoothly get a bail at the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the Al Qadir Trust case, according to a leaked phone call, on Thursday.

In the alleged clip, journalist Abdul Qayyum Siddiqui and PTI legal adviser Khawaja Tariq Rahim could be heard talking about tomorrow's hearing after the top court's notice into the matter.

"[Imran] will be granted a 'protective bail till tomorrow' but the Chief Justice will object to it," Rahim can he heard saying in the purported call.

"He will hear the case himself and mark it for [IHC judge Mohsin Akhtar] Kayani who will get him bailed," he added.

Earlier today, the Supreme Court declared Imran's arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case illegal, and ordered his immediate release.

The PTI's plea was heard by a three-member bench. Besides Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, the bench comprised Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar.

During the hearing, CJ Bandial observed that regardless of the legality of warrants in Al-Qadir case, the arrest itself had not been carried out lawfully and ordered Imran’s release.

The court also ruled that Imran will stay at Police Lines Guest House and approach IHC on Friday, where he will 'accept the verdict'. At the guesthouse, he will be allowed to meet only ‘up to 10 individuals’.

Imran had challenged his arrest in SC, hours after the IHC declared it lawful, after a prompt notice of the development.

On Wednesday, an accountability court granted NAB Imran's eight-day remand. At least 50 personnel of paramilitary Rangers took the former premier into custody as he appeared at IHC for a bail plea.

The arrest had triggered violent riots in multiple cities, with at least five reported deaths.
