Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has delayed his scheduled visit to Pakistan.
The Saudi Prime Minister was slated to visit the nation on November 21, Geo said citing a source in diplomatic circles. A fresh date, the source said, will be announced soon.
A reason for the delay has not been shared.
The resource-rich kingdom was expected to present another bail-out package for Pakistan exceeding US$4 billion during the crown prince's visit. Myriad bilateral agreements on petroleum are due to be concluded and Saudi investment in Pakistan is also expected over the visit.
The source said the uncertain political situation in Pakistan may prove a further impediment in the royal's visit.
