Grammy-winner Arooj Aftab made all of Pakistan immensely proud when she became the country's first ever Grammy winner after her song 'Mohabbat' won Best Global Music Performance. Now, the 37-year-old singer has submitted a second song of hers for consideration for the prestigious award.
Arooj took to her Instagram on Tuesday to announce that her song 'Udhero Na' which features Anoushka Shankar —daughter of legendary musician Ravi Shankar, has been submitted for consideration for a Grammy.
"Udher Na feat. Anoushka Shankar for your Grammy voting consideration in the Best Global Music Performance category," she wrote in the caption. Quoting a line from the song, she said the song was about getting over an ex. "Must win for sure because we finally got over them," she quipped.
The nominations for the Grammys are to be announced on November 15, and the award will take place in Los Angeles on February 5.
