‘PPP, Nawaz Not In Favour Of Imran Khan's Trial In Military Court’
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has reservations over the trial of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in military courts, and even PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is of the same view, said Kamran Yousaf.

In a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, the journalist said that the PPP believes that enough has been done to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, and now he should be given space.

The journalist said that the PPP thinks that the establishment is getting stronger by targeting Imran Khan, and it fears that they could be targeted as well in the future, so it feels that Imran Khan should not be targeted anymore.

The PPP believes that Imran Khan is a former prime minister of the country, and it is not a good gesture for a former premier to face trial in military courts.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership wants a delay in the election until the lifetime disqualification ban is lifted from Nawaz Sharif so that he may contest elections and lead the election campaign.

However, it is not possible until the tenure of Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial, who is set to retire on September 16.

Justice Qazi Faiz Esa will be the next chief justice, and during his tenure, it is expected that the PML-N and Nawaz Sharif will get relief from the courts. The journalist said that the new chief justice will pave the way for Nawaz’s return to politics.

He said that Imran Khan made mad blunders in politics, specifically when he dissolved assemblies in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following his ouster as premier through a no-confidence motion. He said that he committed those mistakes because he is not a politician.

Kamran said that the constitutional limit of the government will expire on August 14, 2023, and elections are likely to be held in October or November, but it is not yet confirmed whether elections will be further delayed or not.
