I Was First Choice For ‘Crew’, Not Diljit Dosanjh: Ammy Virk

Ammy Virk has said that he was first offered the part in the film Crew, which ultimately went to Diljit Dosanjh.

He stated, "It feels really good." He is making room for so many more. He is doing really well in Bollywood. He is being approached for films in Mumbai. If he isn't available, we receive calls (laughing). Although it hasn't happened yet, the reverse has occurred. There was a movie I had to do, but my dates were not available. I'm talking about the crew. After that, they went to Diljit Paaji."

Ammy Virk praised Diljit Dosanjh, citing his involvement in introducing Punjabi artists to Bollywood. He praised Diljit's achievements and influence, adding that chances frequently come his way while he is unable to accept them owing to prior commitments.

Crew, released in March 2024, had Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon in major parts, with Diljit Dosanjh as a customs officer and Kriti Sanon's love interest. The story revolves around three flight hostesses who discover a smuggling enterprise, resulting in hilarious turmoil and their desire to capture the smuggled items.

Following its theatrical premiere, Crew is now accessible for streaming on Netflix, expanding its reach and popularity among audiences. The film's fascinating plot and ensemble cast continue to captivate audiences, cementing its place in Bollywood's comedy-drama genre.
