Six years ago today, Mashal Khan's life was cut short due to a false accusation of blasphemy. Mashal's brutal lynching by an extremist mob on April 13 2017, was started by false rumours that he had committed blasphemy by posting sacrilegious content online. Paying homage to Mashal, the Progressive Students Federation spoke about the need to hold the state to account for religious extremism.
