Saudi Arabia To Invest $1b In Reko Diq Project In Chagai

A substantial $1 billion is expected to be invested by Saudi Arabia in the Reko Diq Copper-Gold Project, which is located in Balochistan's scenic Chagai District.

Assuming the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) clears any obstacles, the investment is expected to take place next month.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is going to create a special committee in the Ministry of Finance to make sure Saudi Arabia's investment goes smoothly. All pertinent Pakistani stakeholders would be represented in this group, guaranteeing a cooperative approach.

This significant achievement highlights the successful efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to create a favorable atmosphere for foreign investment in the country.

In addition to opening the door for more international investments, this money infusion also fits with SIFC's mission to promote economic expansion.

It is anticipated that agreements aimed at bolstering investment in the mining industry will be signed by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia subsequent to this substantial investment.
