Bajwa Said He Has Videos Of Imran That He 'Made Himself': Aftab Iqbal
Anchorperson Aftab Iqbal on Monday claimed that ex-COAS Bajwa recorded Imran Khan telling him ways to intensify his campaign against PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and other politicians.

Iqbal said that the former general made the revelation to him, himself. In the videos, the then PM would praise him for his steps aimed at Nawaz, and would ask him to 'do more'.

"When I told Gen Bajwa that these recordings will be used against him, he replied, I don't fear [doing so now]," indicating that he was on the brink of an outburst.

The anchorperson opined that the former COAS tried to shield Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed by saying that he had nothing to do with it.

He further said that when he told the PTI chief about a conversation with Gen (retd) Bajwa related to state secrets, he said, "Tell him to do whatever he wants to, I haven't even started yet."

It was revealed earlier that the former military chief saw the PTI leadership as a liability for the country and thought Pakistan would cease to exist if Imran continued to run its affairs, according to columnist Javed Chaudhry.

“We had read [the situation] that these people are dangerous for the country. The country would cease to exist if he [Imran Khan] remains [as the prime minister],” Chaudhry quoted the former COAS as saying in his column.

According to him, the ex-military chief made the remarks when asked about Imran’s ouster from power.

“We did not throw their government out; our ‘crime’ was 'not saving it'. Imran Khan wanted us to step forward and save his government,” the former general was quoted as saying.

When asked why he didn’t do so like he did in the past, he said. “That would have suited me and I would retire with grace after receiving a farewell from him.”

But, he added, “I sacrificed my own image for the country; I made a tough but a right decision.”
