A man raped a girl at gunpoint in broad daylight inside the forest area located on Trail 3 in the federal capital.
The accused, named Noman, contacted the victim, a resident of Sheikhupura, through WhatsApp and posed himself as an accountant in the Education Department.
He lured the victim into accepting the government job. He asked the victim to come to Islamabad along with Rs30,000 so that her appointment could be ensured. He said that he would take an additional Rs20,000 when the appointment letter is issued.
The victim said that she reached Islamabad to meet him and handed over the amount to him for acquiring the government job.
She said Noman asked her to sit on his bike as they had to meet a senior officer who would conduct an interview. "When we reached near trail-3, Noman stopped his bike and took me to the forest area, where he raped me at gunpoint and threatened me to keep this secret," she added.
The first information report (FIR) of the incident has been lodged at Kohsar police station.
