Nishtar Hospital Multan Under Criticism After Rotting Bodies Discovered On Roof
Several unidentified rotting and decomposing human bodies have been discovered on the roof of Nishtar Hospital in Multan, Punjab.

Advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Zaman Gujjar found the bodies during a visit to the hospital, after which he ordered cremation of the bodies and issued a notice to the hospital administration to take strict action against the employees involved in the matter.

Reports circulating on social media that the number was anywhere between 50 and 500. However, the hospital administration has denied that there are 'dozens' of bodies on the roof.

Spokesperson of Nishtar Medical University Dr Sajjad Masood in a statement said there were a total of four bodies on the roof that had been left there on purpose to 'naturally dry' so that they could be used for educational purposes by the students.

Following the discovery of the bodies, Additional Chief Secretary South of Punjab Saqib Zafar formulated a six-member team to investigate the matter of the abandonment and desecration of the bodies. The team is required to submit a report within three days.
