The young woman, who endured torture by a policeman named Mir Hasan inside a moving train, was found dead at Bahawalpur's Chani Goth Railway Station on Monday, authorities said.
The shocking incident was brought to light after a video of the policeman went viral on social media, showing him grabbing the woman by her hair and beating her repeatedly while other passengers watched calmly.
After the video went viral, the railway policeman was identified and arrested on April 13, but he was given bail by a local court in Hyderabad on the same day against a surety bond of Rs 35,000.
According to Abdullah Sheikh, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Railways, the incident occurred on April 7 aboard the Karachi-Lala Musa Millat Express.
However, only one day after the cop was set free on bail, the woman's body was discovered in Bahawalpur.
According to the police, the railway police officer took the lady, who lived in Jaranwala's Chak 40 Mor, Faisalabad, with him after viciously hitting her on April 7.
The victim's brother, Afzal, stated that his sister used to work at a beauty salon in Karachi and was visiting Jaranwala for Eid-ul-Fitr.
Afzal also sought an investigation into his sister's killing.
According to details, the constable came to verify the woman's ticket after learning she was traveling without a pass.
However, during the inspection, the mother refused to admit that she was going without a ticket, and the police officer tormented her in front of her children.
Later, the cop alleged that the woman kidnapped the children. However, the cop admitted that he assaulted the woman because she misbehaved with him.
