Fans have been anxiously anticipating the sequel to Ajay Devgn's hit film Raid since its announcement. Devgn will reunite alongside Ashish Gokhale as a police officer in the film.
While giving an interview, Ashish discussed the much-anticipated Raid 2, revealing that the movie is also based on a true story.
Raid 2 is "very different" from the first portion of the movie, according to Ashish, who also hinted that it will be more interesting. "At this time, I can't give away too much about it. Even in the sequel, the story's fundamental concept is the 'raid,' although these raids are entirely different from those in the first segment of the movie. Whatever you observed there is not the same as Raid 2. It's also more captivating," he added.
Gokhale said that although filming for Raid 2 is still ongoing, the team intends to finish it by the end of this month. "The movie is almost complete. Roughly 75% of the shooting has been completed. By the end of May, we should be finished with this film's production," he added.
Raid is an action drama film that was released in 2018 and features significant roles from Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D'Cruz. In the movie, Ajay Devgn plays senior income tax investigator Amar Patnaik, who chooses to investigate and raid the home of a prominent politician in Lucknow.
Raid 2 isn't Ashish Gokhale and Ajay Devgn's first movie together. The two previously collaborated on the films ‘Shaitaan,’ which was just released, and ‘Bholaa.’
