ATC Rejects Bail Of PTI Leaders Fawad, Ijaz And Others
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has rejected bail pleas for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Fawad Chaudhry, Ijaz Chaudhary, Farrukh Habib, Mehmud Ur Rashid, and others.

The PTI leaders were arrested after cases were filed against them for vandalizing state property and military installations during violent protests following the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

On the other hand, sources said that PTI leader Shehryar Afridi was detained by police early on Tuesday.

The reports claim that Afridi was taken into custody in Islamabad under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

Meanwhile, PTI leader Fayyaz-ul-Hasan Chohan was also detained by police in Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh neighborhood on Murree Road.

He was prevented from entering the Rawalpindi Press Club by police personnel. According to the authorities, a case was filed against Chohan on May 9 at the Sadiqabad police station, accusing him of setting fires and instigating workers to demonstrate.

Additionally, Chohan is charged with setting fire to and vandalizing the Sixth Road metro station. However, the Anti-Terrorism Court had issued pre-arrest bail to the PTI leader till May 18.

On Monday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan expressed concern that his wife, Bushra Bibi, might get arrested and put behind bars in the coming days.

In a series of tweets, Khan said on Monday that the complete ‘London plan’ is out now. “Using the pretext of violence while I was inside the jail, they have assumed the roles of judge, jury, and executioner,” he added.

He claimed that the plan is to humiliate him by putting former first lady Bushra Bibi in jail and using some sedition laws to keep him inside for the next ten years.

He added that after that, a complete crackdown will be executed against PTI leadership and workers. “And finally, they will ban the largest and only federal party of Pakistan, just as they banned the Awami League in East Pakistan,” he predicted.
