Former chief minister Punjab Parvez Elahi and Moonis, his son, are involved in corruption and there's a lot of material available against them now, according to journalist Imran Riaz Khan.
Speaking during a YouTube podcast, he said that the duo is facing corruption charges 'of serious nature'.
Detailing the context, Khan said the duo is in trouble after the arrest of a man, identified as Farhan, who has 'told a lot of things to the powerful quarters or the establishment'.
It is pertinent to mention here that Moonis had earlier said in a Twitter post that a man, Farhan is known to them and has been arrested to pressure him and the ex-CM Punjab.
The journalist further said that Moonis left the country after the said arrest and hasn't returned since.
He added that following the arrest, a lawyer, Amir Rana was also taken into custody, who also has an association with the former chief minister's son.
Initially, both the police and FIA denied having him in their custody, but when he reemerged, raids were carried out to arrest Elahi and his close aide Muhammad Khan Bhatti.

"They traced a man with the name of Rana Iqbal, an ex-staff of C&W department in Mandi Bahauddin, who used to give Bhatti money in return for his postings and may be tenders."
The statement was then turned into an FIR, Khan said adding that Iqbal claimed often seeing Ali Afzal Sahi at Bhatti's house.
"Sahi's name was included in the case on the directives of a very powerful individual with the aim to pressure the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court."
The journalist termed the move an organised effort to pressure judges, and said that many people told him with absolute conviction that Sahi never went to Bhatti's house.
He insisted that Moonis would've been arrested had he not left the country. "Their hands aren't clean."
According to him, the establishment is pressuring both PMLQ leaders to part ways with the PTI chief, saying they will have to face cases if they didn't.
