Israeli Forces Target UNRWA Warehouse In Gaza

In the midst of the continuous violent onslaught on Gaza, Israeli forces targeted the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warehouse in Deir al-Balah, the besieged enclave, Al Jazeera reported.

The warehouse, which was a vital component of the UN's operations to distribute essential supplies in Gaza, was severely damaged by artillery bombardment, intensive gunfire, and the effects of nearby airstrikes.

The US military announced on Tuesday that it targeted four anti-ship missiles in Yemen that threatened civilian and military vessels, as Houthi rebel attacks continued despite several strikes.

This is the third time in less than a week that the US has launched strikes against the Houthis, who have repeatedly targeted merchant vessels in the critical Red Sea shipping lane, claiming the attacks are in support of Palestinians in Gaza, where Israel is fighting the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.

"US forces struck and destroyed four Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles prepared to launch from Huthi-controlled areas of Yemen," the US Central Command stated in a social media post.

A US official told AFP that the missiles, which were located at two different sites, posed an "imminent threat to merchant vessels and US Navy ships."
