Sigh Of Relief: Rain, Thunderstorms Predicted In Several Regions Of Country

The meteorological authority predicted showers and thunderstorms in the northern areas, bringing much-needed relief amidst the current heatwave over several regions of the country.

Areas like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan, and Peshawar are likely to witness rain between May 16 and May 19.

Rains are also predicted for Upper Balochistan, which includes places like Barkhan and Ziarat. These rains will give a temporary break from the scorching heat during the same period.

Meanwhile, between May 16 and 18, there may be thunder and rain, giving residents of Murree, Guliyat, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi a respite from the heat.

On May 17 and 18, rain is predicted to deliver some cool respite to these dry regions, providing hope for people residing in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, and Larkana.

As a result of the combination of high temperatures and dry weather, there is still a risk of forest fires in the forested areas of Punjab, Sindh, and North-Eastern Balochistan, despite the reprieve.

To avoid any unfortunate occurrences, authorities advise attention and prudence.

Authorities urge residents to restrict outdoor activities and travel in light of the approaching heatwave, putting safety first.
