Comedy legend Umer Sharif has received a United States visa for his medical treatment. He is expected to fly out to the US at any moment now.
PPP leader Murtaza Wahab took to Twitter to share news of the visa process for Umer Sharif and his family:
Earlier this month, the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz award-winning comedian has issued a video message to Prime Minister Imran Khan on a television show, asking for assistance with medical treatment which can only be provided abroad. Anchor Waseem Badami had then explained that the treatment required by Umer Sharif is available only in three countries: the United States, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
