Six days after assuming office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Orange Line Metro Bus service from Peshawar Morr to Islamabad today. In one of his first orders as the prime minister, Sharif had sought resumption of work on the project, lamenting that it was delayed by the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Addressing the inauguration ceremony earlier today, he said that Imran Khan was panicking at the pace at which he [Sharif] is working. He added that the former prime minister may be panicking due to his pace, but the people of Pakistan have now stopped worrying.
Taking to Twitter, Shehbaz Sharif also announced that travel through the bus during the month of Ramzan will be free of cost.

Prime Minister Sharif regretted that the project was delayed for four years, because it was launched in 2017 by the then government of Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N).
The project was supposed to be made operational in 2018, but the work on it was stopped after the end of the PML-N government, Sharif noted. He also said that the PTI government was unable to prove corruption of even a single penny in the court.
PM Shehbaz Sharif further said that Pakistan's defence expenditures in the past were taken care of through the national income, but the PTI's government met these expenses through loans.
