Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has told the Lahore High Court (LHC) that he worries the government may conduct a new "operation" at his Zaman Park residence over the Eid ul Fitr vacation in an effort to detain him.

During a hearing on his demand for information regarding the cases filed against him across the nation, the PTI chief expressed his worries to the court.

Imran Khan's lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, informed the court during the hearing that state apparatus was being used against his client. He pleaded with the court to halt the filing of FIRs against the PTI chairman.

"Everything has a limit, and in all cases, the police are the complainant," Safdar remarked, citing the Wazirabad incident and the Zile Shah case, in which the police was the complainant.

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh said, "If your stance has been recorded, it shouldn't be an issue."

Safdar informed the court that terrorism-related charges were present in each case, adding that the court could not keep silent over the abuse of power.

"We need to fight from all angles. Every day coming to take bail is not the answer, Safdar remarked. He added that the PTI chief does not need to be arrested in the cases that have already been registered.

"Eid is approaching, and the court will be closed. Safdar added that the police shouldn't be permitted to file a case during these days because they might launch another front at Zaman Park.

Is there a precedent of this kind? Judge Sheikh inquired.

Following this, Imran Khan approached the podium and informed the court that, despite the court's directive to the police not to conduct an operation in Zaman Park, it actually did.

"Now they're going to start an operation during the holidays. I have reliable information that they're going to start an operation. Khan requested the court to stop them, stating that in this situation, the "law of the jungle" is in effect and that people are initially arrested before being told of the accusations.

Imran Khan said, "I am just informing you about the threats beforehand."

Khan's other lawyer, Anwar Mansoor, asserted that these efforts are being taken to thwart the polls. A political leader is being threatened with arrest in order to prevent him from speaking to the people, the lawyer said.

After hearing the arguments from both sides, Justice Farooq Haider announced that they are sending the case to the chief justice of the LHC for the formation of a full bench on the case.
