The Tuesday acquittal of Shahrukh Jatoi in the much-publicised Shahzeb Khan murder case has left Pakistani twitterati fuming.

Among the livid scores were Pakistani notables who minced no words after the top court delivered the aforementioned verdict. Aghast twitter reactions ranged from comments on classism to counsel on emigrating.

Journalist Maria Memon commented on how it was virtually impossible to punish the elite in Pakistan. "Shahrukh Jatoi’ acquittal proves that it is almost impossible to convict the elite in Pakistan. Who’s next now? Zahir Jaffar? Shahnawaz Amir?"
